Dung art and a duct tape Millennium Falcon highlight Ripley Entertainment’s downtown Orlando art show
Ripley Entertainment Inc. is turning its creative point of view toward the downtown Orlando art scene with the “Odd Is Art” show, May 17-June 15.
The exhibit, hosted by CityArts Factory’s Redefine Gallery at 29 S. Orange Ave., features 18 pieces from the Orlando-based attraction’s collection of 35,000 global curiosities known as the Odditorium. A portrait of Jimi Hendrix painted in cow manure hangs by a Victorian wreath made of human hair. And then there’s the 25-foot-long duct tape likeness of the Millennium Falcon starship from Star Wars crashing into Stonehenge.
