I went into Target tonight, with the intention of buying a camera, but I decided to check out the figure section, as I’ve been searching for battle-damaged Vader, but have yet to even see the new figs anywhere. Of course, no Vader, but they had a couple of Samurai Jedi and a Juno Eclipse on the pegs. Not much, just remnants, and disappointing ones at that.

As I’m looking through the GI Joe figs just for the heck of it, I saw something underneath the shelf, behind the lightsabers. Sure enough it’s a hidden SW fig – Maris Brood! Seeing it in person, it looks cool, so I decided to buy it after all. Seeing this one hidden, I figured maybe that elusive Vader was hiding, so I started looking behind boxes on the bottem shelves in the figure aisle, as well as the next three. Found about 10 more figures throughout that were hidden behind Transformers, legos, and the race cars, but pulling each one out led to more disappointment. Not one Vader (nor the black Royal Guard or the troopers, but I didn’t want them anyway). Instead, I found a McHan, a McVader, an UGH McStormie, an 08′ wave Darth Anakin, a Vader’s Apprentice Evolutions set, and, here’s the funny part……about five more Juno Eclipse figs!!!!

I put these all back on the pegs, hoping I screwed some scalper holding these for later. What gets me is why hold so many Juno Eclipses? I didn’t think this one was all that popular out of the Force Unleashed assortment. Even more disappointing is, to see that many, they must have had about 5 cases in the last week out, so naturally I missed that Vader. With gas prices going up, suddenly paying $16 on amazon doesn’t seem so bad.
