Awesome Star Wars freeware games!!
Ok, I just found out about this, but most likely it’s old news. I did a search in the forums though and didn’t find a post about it so….
I happened to stumble across this at theforce.net. Freeware star wars games. Most noteably a Battle of Yavin and Battle of Endor game. These are awesome!!! The engine is sort of a cross between X-Wing and Rogue Squadron. You can only fly in an X-Wing but the space battles are incredible. (the later stages get pretty freaken hard too, IMO) The graphics aren’t as good as say Rogue Leader but I’d say they’re on par with TIE Fighter, maybe better…which isn’t too shabby considering the games are free and not made by lucasarts.
Anyway, if you’re in the mood for a good PC flight sim-type game and you don’t have these yet, check them out!
