    OK, this has to be one of my all-time favorite submarine movies along with U-571.

    Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman kick some butt! A mutany on a United States nuclear submarine over very real discrepancies on whether the order to launch a nuclear war is valid! The very concept of it is horrifying.

    I think the movie kept the audience on edge through the whole picture. I remember I was.

    There is some really good acting in this picture and a very penetrating look inside the modern Navy.

    When all this gets taken into account, you seriously hope the Hawks can protect you against nuts like those running Iran that might one day decide to use nuclear weapons. Face it: we’ll never be out from under the threat of Russia, really and truly, and China is as dangerous as ever. North Korea remains a conundrum too.
