The following is a reprinted and altered version of a post to the Trades Only forum. In a nutshell, I would like to establish a network of collectors in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area to keep each other informed of where to find the latest releases and whenever possible, arrange trades or purchases at actual cost between collectors to cut out the scalpers. I sell at the Sci-Fi Expo and Toy Show in Plano and Grapevine a few times a year and have something of a reputation for underselling scalpers in general, but do not feel that a collectors network like this would undermine that in the least. Unlike the scalpers, I am also a collector with a personal vintage and current collection that started over 20 years ago. Let’s band together for the common good of the hobby in this area. Bubba Fatt and Sith Worm are my charter partners in this by default as we have already been helping each other out in this regard for some time. The reprint follows:

Ok guys, I know Sith Worm and I cannot be the only collectors out there who often find what we already have but everyone seems to be lacking and/or can’t find what we still need though everyone else can.
If you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas, preferably in the Fort Worth/Mid-Cities area, please sound off here. We need to establish a true collector’s network in the area, to help each other find what we need, share info on who’s got what and when, and to be able to trade rather than pay scalper prices. Or absent trading, be able to buy at ACTUAL cost within the network.
If you are in the area, sign on here and be sure to write. Sith Worm and I have had great success helping each other find things. I owe a lot of my POTJ collection to Sith Worm and he owes his B-Wing to me and a fateful trip to Target.
