Horrible shipping at Amazon
Don’t know if anyone noticed this, but the shipping prices at amazon are getting way out of hand. I’ve found nothing new at retail in months, and since I only want the Force Unleashed Vader, I figured I’d give them a shot, knowing full well I might pay an extra couple of $$ (I’d break even on gas there, so no biggie), so long as the price was $10 or less.
Well, they finally have a couple listed at $7.99, but get this, the shipping is $8.00 !!!! Unbelievable!!!! I know it doesn’t cost that much to send one lousy figure – I mean, the shipping is technically more than the figure itself! As much as I’d like this figure, I’ll wait until I luck out at retail or on HTS, where the shipping is far more reasonable.
Even worse, with this new marketplace, they won’t even combine shipping if you order two figs from the same seller. I bought two of the new GI Joe figs last week, and got stuck paying $4.00 shipping for EACH figure, even though they came from the same seller and were shipped in one box! If those figs weren’t so hard to come by, I certainly wouldn’t have given in (to add insult to injury, I found them at TRU a week later – what can you do?). Just can’t believe how bad it’s gotten on that site with toys since they dropped TRU (another site which 99% of the time has their figures listed as “not currently available.” :upset:
