New Republic for All (for progressive thinking Americans)

I’ve started a new group on Yahoo called “New Republic for All”. My goal is to attract enough people to join and help change the direction of this country.
The first thing on the agenda is to see what steps we can take to proposing an abolishment of the Electoral College. It was quite clear that, with last night’s numbers, that their votes do NOT reflect the popular vote.
I am calling on all of you to do your part as citizens to help make a difference. Perhaps if we pass this information on to all those concerned for our country’s future, we can be a strong body that is capable of making a change.
This group has been started to pool all of the people together to discuss ideas and propose methods of presenting these ideas to those in the government. Have faith that we can do this!!! I do not know where else to begin. Perhaps this group will attract those who DO know how to organise and present these ideas.
I am quite aware that this group will attract a fair share of people who wish take shots at the intent. But all I can say is, “We must try.”
