Wow… Obama just won the Wisconsin Democratic primary, beating Hillary by some 15 percentage points.

McCain’s victory speech tonight seemed to indicate that their camp already sees Obama as their opponent this fall.

Hillary’s rhetoric sounds more and more hollow with each Obama victory. I don’t know how she could pull off winning the nomination now, unless the Obama camp fumbles on the campaign trail.

I am energized by Obama’s victories. More and more people I talk to — here in the Deep South — are excited by the prospect of an Obama candidacy.

I think at this point it’s almost inevitable that Obama will be the Democratic candidate. I am not sure that he can beat McCain, but with those two candidates the race for the Presidency will take on an air of civility (and maybe even nobility) that hasn’t been seen in a long, long time.
