I got this at Target yesterday, so he’s showing up.

There seems to be two kinds of VOTC figures: great ones, and crap ones. This is definitely the former.

It looks a lot like Billy Dee Williams. I can’t tell really if he’s too short or what, he seems to be the same size as Bespin Escape POTJ Lando, but I haven’t compared them side by side. He has 14 points of articulation: ball-socket head, universal shoulders, knees, and ankles, swivel elbows (like Leia), and regular wrists, waist, and legs. This means he can be put into several different poses, which is cool. He can be neutral or in a gun-firing pose, or nearly anything else you want. His arms aren’t like Leia’s in the sense that you can’t really turn the shoulders inside out and still have it look good, but you can still make his arms fairly straight anyway. He can hold his blaster with both his hands. It’s the same one we’ve been seeing for a while now, cast in shiny black.

Unlike the earlier pictures of this figure in which the cape looked like crap, in reality it has the correct patterns and what I assume would be the correct texture. His collar isn’t cloth like the POTJ one, it’s plastic like the rest of him. Due to his ankle articulation, it looks like his feet pegs might be a little short, but I can’t be sure. At least he has them, though. His belt buckle thing is rather ornate, like it should be. His knee articulation is covered up nicely by his pants, similar to VOTC Han’s. His pants are also somewhat flared out in that Lando style. :D

Overall, I really like this one. We still have yet to get a good Lando with a removable cape, which would’ve made this figure better. Still, he gets an A.
