O.K. is it just me or does the new EP II CGI Yoda look extremely amazing? He looks surpisingly enough, close to the ESB Yoda. What I was wondering though is, why does this Yoda look close to the ESB Yoda and the EP I Yoda looks nothing like these other two? I know that GL wanted a younger looking Yoda, but come on now, Yoda is 900 years old during ESB. Is 30 years difference really going to show on someone that old. And if so how come 10 years later he looks almost like he did in ESB? That is one of the problems that I had with the EP I Yoda. They should have just used the original ESB and ROTJ puppet. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Anyone else agree with me?

Also, one more thing in addition. If the new CGI Yoda looks almost like the ESB Yoda, then how come we have a Jabba that looks nothing like the ROTJ Jabba? Certainly they could have made the CGI Jabba for the Special Edition and EP I look like the ROTJ version. Do they not notice, or are they just being lazy?

Actually, I thought TPM Jabba looked very similar to ROTJ Jabba. I think they should fix ANH SE Jabba if they are going to keep that sequence in any future modifications of the film. And while they are at it, they should just chuck Greedo shoots first! I agree with you about the AOTC Yoda looking awesome. I wish they would have used this one in TPM. I guess Yoda’s health failed dramatically in the ten years between TPM and AOTC ;).

I think its nothing but poor planning. They never look ahead to the up coming movies.

Ironically, they DID use the same puppet from ESB and ROTJ. They just touched it up a little here and there.

Perhaps the body, but the face was a brand new sculpt. The ESB Yoda is not allowed to be messed with as it is seen as a historical icon. I think someone said that on TPM DVD. Chewie also.

    Stress

Maybe with all the the events of EP1 and events befor EP@ he had a lot of stress and could of caused alot ageing. but he wouldn’t look to mauch older. Because then in EPSB he would of had so much stress from vader and palpatine he would look very old.
