I saw a MLB power rankings list that showed the Cardinals dropping 11 places from the previous week, based on their 3-8 record at the time. Two players (Adam Eaton & Jason Heyward) are hitting .289 based on their 11 hits in 38 at-bats.
Yesterday, my recycling came to... $11.35 :frus: and the receipt was printed at 11:37am. Missed 'em by that much!
A stat just flashed by on the screen: LA Dodger Justin Turner's OPS is 1.138. In our Great Shakeout evacuation drill today, it took 11 minutes and... 40 seconds to move from one location to another; so close.
There was a video game commercial where the score flashed on the screen ever-so-briefly: 1138! And a few sports examples (scoring at that time left on the clock, stats adding up to it, etc.) in the past weeks. A restaurant experience recently that wasn't all that great, probably was due to the fact that the order was taken one minute later.
IIRC, for the first time ever in my 14 years of recycling for the school, my total for that day's funds was exactly $11.38, which in itself is awesome, but after the next day's haul, the running total for the year up to that point is $811.38.
Before the All-Star Game, LA Dodger Cody Bellinger's OPS was 1.138; I learned that Darrell Lamonica leads the Raiders in career completions with 1,138; and while I was waiting for some dental work this week, my blood pressure was showing 113/80 at one point.
