The Power Rangers. I kid you not, an official comic book crossover between DC and Boom! Studios was announced for 2017. :highly_amused:

Press Release said:
On January 11, two of comics’ greatest teams will combine their powers and abilities for the first time! The Justice League—Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern John Stewart, the Flash and Cyborg—meet Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in a six-issue monthly miniseries from New York Times best-selling writer Tom Taylor (INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US, GREEN LANTERN CORPS: EDGE OF OBLIVION) and artist Stephen Byrne (JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA REBIRTH: THE RAY).

Something terrible has happened in Angel Grove when the Power Rangers’ Command Center is breached and the teleporters are damaged! Zack the Black Ranger is flung into an alternate universe full of citizens possessing outrageous powers and wearing strange costumes. Will Jason the Red Ranger, Trini the Yellow Ranger, Kimberly the Pink Ranger, Billy the Blue Ranger and Tommy the Green Ranger be able to get to Zack in time to save him from Batman?

In addition to the standard covers drawn by Karl Kerschl (GOTHAM ACADEMY: SECOND SEMESTER), each issue will feature a variant cover drawn by one of comics’ most popular artists, pairing each member of the League with a different Power Ranger:

Not to be outdone (and once again not a joke ) the company behind the Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends toy-line also announced that they too will cross-over with the Power Rangers (in toy form).

Between these two odd "out-of left field" announcements (the Thomas one especially), the reveal of the teaser trailer for the Power Rangers reboot film (linked to in case anyone else is curious enough to check it out), the final trailer for Star Wars Rogue One, the release of PSVR for the PS4, and possible news on Nintendo's code-named NX console by the end of October if the rumblings are true, this has been good birthday month for me. :)

I don't know why Transformers and MM Power Rangers have never crossed over. They both morph.
The Transformers franchise, unlike most other franchises I can think of, being owned in its entirety by a toy company (Hasbro) would be my best guess. Power Rangers toys are done by Bandai. Hasn't the toy rights of every franchise the Transformers crossed over with (at the time that the cross-over took place anyway) been owned by Kenner/Hasbro?
