Im trying to figure out what kind of paperwork or inserts came with the vintage landspeeder. Does anyone know? Instruction sheets? Directions of any kind? Im sure it came with a catalog and stickers of course.
I'm assuming you're talking about the Landspeeder and the Sonic Landspeeder. There's a scan of the sticker sheet at 12Back. I couldn't find the instructions in a quick search, but there should have been a set. If for some odd reason it didn't have an instruction sheet there would have been a Kenner Cares insert. The catalogs vary by year. The Landspeeder was retailed in 1978, 1979, and again 1984.
Yes, I was referring to the landspeeder not the sonic. Ive looked and looked for the instructions sheet and have never seen one. Strange because every other ship has a set. The TaunTaun open belly has a set but not the standard TaunTaun either. I was wondering about that too??
I wonder if the Land Speeder had instructions. The box art covered the hood and the gear shift lever gimmick, and it's only 3 stickers. It's funny, I had the original when I was a kid, I don't remember de-boxing it though.
They weren't pre-applied, there's a scan of the 3-sticker sheet above.
BTW, you want a heartbreaker? This thread is the #1 result on Google for: landspeeder instructions kenner
Having searched this out a little more, I can't find references to any instruction sheet of any kind, even from sellers on ebay who are offering the original catalog insert. However, I also can't find any images of the packaging tray so the game's not over.
You are correct, sir; I myself offer my BSLOS in lue of flogging.
"I've been sittin' here,
Tryin' to find myself
I get behind myself
I need to rewind myself."
This is a stretch, but the more I try to think back (a la Kid Rock, who really does care) I seem to remember something that told you how to insert the bubble windshield onto the chassis, and how to put in guns inside the "hidden compartment." That would necessitate at least a one-sheet instruction, I'd say.
A quick images search revealed that the how-to for weapons was on the outer box, so perhaps that's my false memory.
I've looked a little farther and haven't turned up anything either. There's a CD that shows up on eBay every few months that claims to have scans of every instruction sheet, catalogs, card and card backs. I have no clue to the seller/sellers are, but next time I see this I look to see if the landspeeder is in that list.
