I found a "32 card complete set" of The Mandalorian Season 1 cards at Target today ($9.99 for the box). I put it in quotes, because it appears the "set" is 25 cards, then you get 5 Illustrated cards and 2 color parallels (I got green... which is not one of the colors that the box mentioned were available), which does add up to 32 total cards. While I am one of the 17 people in the world who hasn't seen the streaming show yet, I believe I now know how it goes by reading the card backs and front captions.
BTW, I now own 1 card less than 9000 individual SW cards. That is both astounding and befuddling.
I ordered season 2 (just the 100 base card set) cards online for what I think is a great deal; I can report on what they look like once they arrive, and if my great deal wasn't actually a "great" deal. This one was also hobby-only, though.
Well, not only was it a real great deal, I received it today (that's fast)! The image fronts are what you'd expect, with borders at the corners and top/bottom (photos bleed to the left/right edges). The backs are very detailed summaries of that scene in the particular episode (why'd I even watch them then? ), with black text on white background. No color parallels ever interest me, and I wasn't interested in the less-great-deal costs for the insert sets (The Child, Characters, Posters, some other one maybe?).
