Saw 2 stations in the eastern Sierras this weekend at $4.99 and $4.69, low grade unleaded. It's "only" $3.55 on average here in So Cal.
[edit] Filled up at $3.25 (with many other drivers there realizing this is a "good" price) yesterday.

Big price spikes lately (some stations jumped 5+ cents just in the time it took to drive past and return to them)... bought fuel for $3.49 and $3.45 recently. Not too many stations over $4, but many are close. Was in the LA region this weekend, and most were over $4 there.

Costco again, which has the lowest in the area at $3.45; no other station is less than $3.55, and most are in the $3.80s range.

[edit] Costco was down to $3.19, the lowest by FAR around here, but when I went there (on a Saturday, of course), it was up to $3.25. Still, at least $.15 or more less than other stations (and $.50 less than stations close to me).

[re-edit] Same Costco this week went back down to $3.19, when I went with another person. Great that someone else can get "cheap" gas.

Price was $2.75 at Costco when I decided the super-long lines weren't worth the wait. The next day: jumped to $2.85, and thankfully, the lines were shorter when I returned. Wonder why.

[edit] Prices are dropping some (was $2.77 today; $.01 more the day before; what a deal! ) around here. But Costco is still the best by about $.20 or so.
