I bought stuff today! Star Wars items! I was 8 bucks over the minimum to use the cheaper Target coupon (and now am the owner of a $10 gift card to return their, thank you). What did I buy? Luke and Rey, in 3.75" form; a Phasma Hot Wheels car (turns out, I didn't "need" it to reach the coupon amount, but it looked better than the other HW still on the shelf), and 2 books (Phasma, Leia: Princess). Wasn't much left by 4pm, so pickins' were slim and shady. Not sure if heading out again this weekend would be fruitless or fruitful.
"To return their"… return their what? 😉
I picked up the new A-wing, which is not bad, but I'm still weirded out by the canopy layout of this design. I also got Hot Wheels: the Jabba & Han Carbonite set (Jabba is super light, Han is heavy metal), Finn (kinda bland), and BB-9Eeeeevil which is a new tooling and simpler than the BB8 car.
Your the won who wood notice that their. Literally.
Tried a different Target, a TRU, and a W*M today: not much. Did buy that same Evil Goatee BB Hot Wheels, looked at the Jabba/Carbo Han set and ALMOST pulled the trigger, found a Krenic Rogue 1 figure discounted and the Saw/Tubes/Driver/Jyn 4-pack over half off.
I want the new A-wing but will wait.
Bought the TRU BS Gree; that was the big item I went for at TRU that night.
My two WMs had NO basic TLJ figures. Bought the basic figures at Meijer.
Bought BS Thrawn and Hera; figured I may not see them again so I pulled the trigger.
Nice get, I haven't seen a hint of either. On Force Friday, Hera was the best-selling toy on Amazon. :/
Hit several WMs, Targets and TRUs over the holiday weekend, and it looks like LJ Luke is the hot figure. No where to be found.
Saw the playset. It will be clearance out next spring. Waaaay too much for a playset.
The Luke I got had a corner dented. That was one figure I really wanted. It looks boring, as an "action" figure, though. Haven't opened him up yet.
I saw the Yoda and Obi-Wan figures yesterday. Obi-Wan looked good but couldn't justify getting another one right now.
I got the Probe Droid from Amazon, don't regret that.
Thanks to a Forumite (cue Natalie Merchant's "Kind and Generous" song), I am the proud owner of Thrawn, all the way from the migrant camp of Kernco! He's purdy…

I suppose it's not much of a "spoiler," but in looking for which figures were in the next wave, I guess I now know something about the film I would not have. 🙁 Oh well; I'll just throw away or burn my tickets… :lifecompletelyruined: :p
But none of those figs have I seen on a peg in a store. 😡
With a 25% off sticker and a 20% +10% regular discount, I bought a FO Stormtrooper for around $5 at Barnes & Noble today.
I did buy the AT-M6 before TLJ came out, because I was hoping they would be involved in some grand battle, but they pretty much just walked straight ahead and stood completely motionless for most of the film’s final action sequence. More than a little disappointing.
The only Star Wars toys I have purchased in the last couple of months have been Rogue One related (my appreciation for that film has only grown in the last year).
I’m not sure why this is the case. I’m wondering if it’s because I liked TLJ, but nothing about it had any sort of lasting emotional impact on me, thus no desire to spend money on merchandise.

Have you actually SEEN merchandise you’d consider buying, BB? That’s been my issue; new stuff seems non-existent here in my sector of SoCal.

Mostly just the standard 3.75" and 6" figures and vehicles. Walmart is the only store in my area carrying TLJ stuff. The other stores, like Walgreens and Dollar General, had a really big push for TFA but I guess they didn’t sell through enough of that stuff to even stock any new Star Wars toys in 2017. I haven’t been to a TRU or Target for a probably a couple of years now. There aren’t any within 50 miles of me and I just don’t have enough interest to make a 100+ mile round trip just to do a toy run.
My point is that there is stuff at Walmart that I see and could potentially buy, but I just don’t feel the urge to spend the money. Even though most of the stuff is really cheap right now.
I briefly considered getting the Jedi Exile Luke, but dragged my feet on that figure long enough that he eventually sold out and I haven’t seen him again since.
